Branching Hammer question

A couple days ago I noticed my branching hammer has a large bubble, around the size of a nickel. Its right in the center of 1 of the branches. It hasn't disappeared but doesn't appear to be affecting anything.

Overall the coral appears healthy and is growing nicely.

Any ideas??

Tank is too dark to take a pic now, will try and get one tomorrow.

Er is 100% correct

I recall seeing this for the first time on mine and I kind of freaked out some. After a few local LFS its a bubble that forms between a splitting stage of the stalk.

To go along........I have a single head of torch/hammer coral, and even though I never saw a bubble......the head still split into two? IS there any reason why, or does it not make a difference?

Thanks for the info!! Another head is forming a bubble now. I can see 2 "mouths" on other side of the bubble. So it is definitely splitting!! :-)
