Branching Rainbow Goniopora Care

So I've been in the hobby for a while now and I,ve always steered clear of goniopora but I came across this rainbow branching one for a good deal and so far it,s pretty healthy. I'm wondering if any one has had or has one that could help me decide on what the best way to take care of them is. Any advice is welcome, I keep mostly SPS but I also have a lot of softies and LPS that are all doing pretty well. Thanks in advance. Here is a picture of it currently in my tank.

Never really thought of em as branching, but that's a nice nub. I find mine like heavy feeding, high flow and medium/high light. I have a few rainbows among 12 total gonis.

Thanks for the info. It was just sold to me as branching, thats why I refered to it that way. Having no experience with gonis makes me just kind of go a long with what the seller named it.

Yes that is a branching, not common but I've seen them around. I have 13 of goniopora corals from many kinds in my 65 gal tank and have had them there for a good year now. Care isn't much different from other LPS, but I would feed them. I've read tons from experts saying feeding will assure their success, but also have seen people neglect that and also keep that coral with success.
Gonioporas have become my favorite coral, and I think you gotta find their sweet spot in order for them to do well.
Find a place where there is medium light, medium flow and direct feed the tank maybe 1-2 week with zooplankton and phytoplankton. I notice some of them react to food, while others don't. There are some types that are really hard to keep, while others are easy.
The one you have seem to be Australian, since the polyps look smaller, with more tentacles. I have a piece similar to yours but orange and it does very well.

There are tons of food for these corals these days, you can chose the one you have better availability in your city stores.
Good luck and congrats on the piece!

Thank you very much ReefCowboy, that makes me feel a lot better about it. I spot feed usually once a week just as a good practice for my corals health but never to specifically supplement a coral. Sometimes I forget and don't get it done so I was nervous about whether or not I had made a bad purchase.

I have never heard of or seen a branching goniopora before, would you mind sharing a few pictures of yours? Or maybe reccomend a good source of information on them somewhere?

Again thanks for your advice.

I purchased one of these guys before. I've touted my success with goniopora on the forum a couple of times, but all the short-polyped goniopora I've gotten has died. So something must be different about the care for these guys than the more common gonis

Of course bud. I've see a really large branching red one before, its shape is awesome but stores chop it down...
I'll post a few pics of the ones I've had for a while.

The orange(bottom) one I believe is the same type as yours. I got it a lot smaller and they are pretty hardy.

FTS so you can see where they are in my tank
