Brand new stream - with noise !!!!

Heres the problem....

The pumps has a really large resonance sound/NOISE when it runs at about 1/3 to maksimum(its controlled with a single controller). Its only 1Ã"šÃ‚½ week old.

I have tried several things to find out what is wrong.

1) I removed it from the holder that comes with the pump to see if it was through this that the standing sound wave/resonance where traveling. It didnt do any difference !
2) Disamssemble the pump to see if there where some dirt or other trapped in it - there where not and even do i cleaned it out good the noise is still there.
3) Tryed to fixate the cable to the pump to see if the resonance where traveling through here - no difference.

So my guess is that its the pump !

But let me know what you think. Feel free to use technical expressions in your reply, im a engineer myself and has a great deal of knowledge in the field of acoustics and electronics.

By the way - great product, it really moves some water i must say

This is more of an issue when they are new and tends to be reduced in time. The first thing I would do is remove the drive unit under water and let the magnet cavity fill with water and reinstall the drive unit. A lot of the problem is air inside the pump when they are new. I really don't think that their is the possibility of a technical difference creating the noise. The only possibilities are air in the pump, insufficeint wear of parts- this takes about 2 weeks minimum for all parts to fit properly or their is a part inside that doesn't fit properly- usually the bush bearing- the top collar is loose.

I have tried to ensure that there are no air trapped inside the pump but it didnt help either.
So i guess that I will leth it run for a few more days - then it has been up and running for to weeks, and I will then see what happens....
