Brass update

I had brass ball valves running through my tank and couldn't keep any inverts. I even lost a royal gramma and a clown. I had another clown i had to peel off of a powerhead intake. I now have a new royal gramma, the same clown i had and a new one, a sleeper head goby, a purple lobster, a coral banded shrimp and a turbo snail that has been alive for almost two weeks. The last one i had only lasted five days. I have been running cuprisorb for i can't remember how long. It seems to be working. are there any other ways to get rid of brass any quicker? I just hope that the cuprisorb will be able to pull out enough brass for the tank to be invert safe. I do not want to have to start over because of the brass leeching into the rocks. is this a never ending process, or will i someday be able to keep soft inverts like cleaner shrimp and maybe anemones? Other stuff too. Thanks.

wow, i've always avoided any metal (save titanium and stainless steel) but i've never heard anything bad about brass. Are you sure it's to blame?

brass is an alloy with copper in it. we all know about copper, don't we?
True, but that does not mean that the alloy will leach copper any easier that than water gives up hydrogen.
