Breaking down and selling off 92 RR Corner Tank

I'm going to be breaking my 92 corner tank and was curious what's the best way of selling off the items. Would it be best to just list the items for sale here on the forums? Through CMAS? Or on ebay? Or perhaps a combination? Pretty much, I'm downsizing my setup so I'm not getting rid of EVERYTHING (ie: not all of my live rock).

Has anyone had any experience selling coral frags on ebay? My live rock is totally encrusted in xenia and mushroom frags so I'm sure I can sell that off easily.

Any help greatly appreciated!

Mike, I'd recommend looking at a few of the "selling off" threads here on CMAS, so you can see how they go. If you part things out, put prices on each item and price them reasonably, everything should go quickly.

Selling things off through Ebay is tougher, since each item would likely be its own auction. With RC or CMAS, you list everything out, watch for the replies and PM's and plan ahead to have a day or two of pick-ups.

You'll also want to decide if you are willing to ship and have an idea of the cost, since you'll get those requests too. Many locals try to sell local first, then put things on RC or on Ebay if they don't get sold to the locals.

I agree with Boyd.

If you try to sell here and locally, you may not get as much as you MIGHT on ebay or the selling forum but the little you lose in not worth the headache of shipping or setting up on ebay. It might even be worth it to sell everything as a package for a discount, it avoids having to make several appointments for people to come over. If your just downsizing, you might consider trading, you may get more out of the deal than selling but once again, sometimes a bigger headache.
