breakout box / Float wiring

Hello,

I am going to be wiring my breakout box to a float switch. I know there is no polarity with the float, so the two wires I am planning on wiring to 3.5mm stereo headphone male and female plugs. My question is. Can I wire both wires to ONE plug? or do I have to wire each wire individually to a separate plug?

I went ahead and wired it to a single plug. Works great!

Yep.. single plug (2 contacts... tip and ring or whatever) is all you need..

All wired up. SWMix is the float. When Closed I'll have a solenoid open, and when the switch is open, the solenoid will be closed.

haha, yea, except I have to cut it and do it again...

I will be printing a mount for it, but I forgot to put the nylon nut before soldering and the head of the headphone jack is to big...:facepalm:
