Is it possible to get another bicolor into my reef and have them breed successfully in ther or will the other fish eat the babies if they do breed. Also is ther any destinctive markings on bicolors.
There aren't any specific markings. In general, the male is slightly larger than the female. They change sex from female to male, so the best bet is to start with a small group of immature young angels and let them grow up together and sort it out for themselves If trying to pair an existing angel, it's best to add an immature young specimen, but there also needs to be plenty of cover to allow the new one to escape should the old one want to give it a rough time. As for the actual breeding, they are a pelagic spawner which will release eggs into the water column. These eggs will become food unless you collect them at spawning and incubate them in a kriesel type set up. Feeding will the be next great challenge and will likely require wild caught plankton.
It sounds easy, until you try it Actually, the breeding part is the easy part. However, after that, it gets very laborious, time consuming, and experimental.
I bet but I dont mind if they dont breed, it would be realy cool, but i mainly want 2 angels and if they do mate and pare up that would be realy cool. But im kinda to scared to do it cause I dont like killing my fish.
