Breeding common snails

Does anyone have any experience or links for breeding snails? Preferably Trochus snails.

It seems that is the one thing I am continually having to purchase and add back to my tank as they just don't last for much more than 6-8 months. 12 months if I'm lucky. So, I thought it would be a good idea to start up a small tank to breed my own rather than buying wild caught snails.
