breeding pair clowns

Hello all.

I put my skimmer up on craiglist, for 200, and was offered a trade, my skimmer, for either a breeding pair of platinum clownfish, or breeding pair of Darwin black and white clownfish?

I am not familiar with breeding, or clownfish for that matter. But can anyone tell me what a pair of each of those might be worth. Worse case scenario, if I cant sell it, and these fish are worth it, may go on with trade

A breeding pair of platnium are worth a lot. Breeding clowns takes up a lot of time and research. If you do get one of the pairs, make sure he proves to you that the pair is spawning.

okay. how about the black and white darwins? I think they look nicer, more natural, but what do they typically go for. Just trying to figure out if im getting the raw end or not.

A spawning pair of platniums can be around 350$ to a breeder.
As for the black and whites they can go for around 300$.
