Breeze fans

Can I use them without the controller? I have an ACIII and just want them to turn on and off when the halides are on. Does it come with a traditional power supply?

I need one to blow across a 4' tank. Can i get by with the 3 fan one? I'm currently using a clip-on fan from Walmart. it keeps the tank at about 79 exactly where I want it. I was wondering if this would have equivalent air flow. Thoughts?

Well, I found the ratings in cubic meters, so I found a conversion table online and I THINK I have it right....

3 fans = 115 CFM
4 fans = 153 CFM
5 fans = 191 CFM

Pretty nice numbers if my conversions were right....

If you can find the airflow of the clip-on you're using, that should give you something to compare to. I'm using the 4 fan unit on a 30" tank, running throughout the light cycle, and I've actually had the temp dip a little too low. Can't wait until my profilux shows up so I can have them turn on only when needed.

Thanks Brandon! That's what I'm afraid of. I don't want it to dip too low. The clip on only comes on during the halides, but keeps the temp perfect.

on your ac3 you can controll when to turn the fan off if temp gets too low

Ordered the three fan! Should be here by Monday. How quite are these fans. My tank is in the living room so it can't be too loud.

they run on the highest quality air bearings you will not get anything quieter, German engineered you will love it!

May even convince you to jump ship to profiLux when you see the real quality of the product :)

Can someone give me the dimensions of the 3 and 4 fan units? I can't find them anywhere. Thank you.

I am out of 4 fans(just for a second) so I can't check that but a 3 is 11" wide by 5 3/8" tall without the mounting hardware.

An educated guess for a 4 is right around 14 1/2" wide.

Got my fan today. It pushes a good amount of air, but I think I should of went with the 4 fan version for a 4ft tank.
