Brght Neon green algea

Yeah thats the other thing, Im using tap water.

I have to wait to get a RO/DI unit, My wife is taking her sister on her 6th grade camping trip, And I gotta Fork out a Bunch of $$$ for the supplies...and my wife is planning some party for her business......soooo the money is thin... it Sucks.. I WANT MY RO/DI UNTI....:-)

i don't see any problem except that it's not the best looking thing.

those water dispencers at the supermarkets are a cheap source of clean water. i called them and asked about the filtering process. they said it was reverse osmosis and that it got rid of phosphates and other impurities but i have never actually tested the water. i switched back to tap about a month ago and i had some nasty algae appearing so i wouldn't recommend it.

Are you taling about the product DT plankton???

If so no, Im using Pyhto-feast live from reefnutrition

Yes that's what I meant. Not sure if that product is the same, but when I was feeding DT's, I was getting a lot of that algae on my glass. Especially in my nano tank. Atleast it looked just like that.

Before buying any more animals or additives, spend $40 on Bob Fenner's book, "The Conscientious Marine Aquarist". You will save a lot more that $40 by reading and following his advice.

yes I know about that book, unfortunately I dont have the time to read any books right now with work, raising a family and taking care of my new tank.

When I get some time Ill take a look into it...

I thought about it being the product im using. Aw WMC I spoke with the head guy at reefnutrition and asked him about it. He said it shouldnt cause an algea outbreak, it doesnt have the phosphates and some other stuff in it to cause an outbreak.

But Im a firm believer in "look at the last thing done and there lays the answer"

So im kinda thinking its that, ill try and figure it out, But till then Its cleaning the tank every night.

I really need a magnetic glass cleaner.
