I went with a ice cap retro kit. I will mount it in the canopy. Also the canopy is 10" tall. Doesn't look that tall in the pics.....

Mounted the lighting and pickup my my new skimmer.
I have to say after running it for a day it is def impressive.
I put the upgraded impeller and pump intake mod on it. It creates foam like you would not believe! :beer:
Hopefully I can get the whole setup done by end of day Sunday...:spin2:

holy power brights! coming along very nicely what color t5 bulb did you get? cant wait to see them colors.

nice skimmer too, any pic of the skimmer running? would like to see the foam

I will get some pics soon as I get everything moved over to the new system tomorrow....
for bulbs I used blue plus, figi purple, aquablue special, blue plus.
I am using a icecap 660 ballast. I may add 2 more t5s so i can add a little more color.
But not over drive them like the 4 I am using now.

is that skimmer soooo much better than the nwb100 you were using? I do not know much about that brand..

swc and octopus are the same thing. This is pretty muck the same thing as the octo extreme skimmer using the sicce pump. Mine has a couple mods to the pump though.
I have to say so far it really has me impressed.
I was using a nwb-150. still have it...lol that skimmer def is a nice skimmer for the cash.
IMO it works better than the nw-200 that I was using. That bubble plate works well.

can someone give me the website for Miracles..i'm thinking about getting a tank built through GC. but i wanna shop around especially since i am going back and forth between a 120 tall and a 150 tall. over all the 120 wins me over but with that 150 i have an xtra foot.
I wanted to go rimless also with only the front starphire for an extra 130 bucks total compared to the non rimless 120 with the 3 sides starphire. The light can be blinding..i know exactly what you mean...so i was wondering if any of you knew of anyone has a suspending canopy. I need some ideas to make it work otherwise i cant do it.
oh and here is the price for the 120 rimless starphire front panel only 703.00
non rimless 3 sides 574 plus the 84.00 shipping and my 630 mile r/t to LA to get it. (shipped to my door 800.00! they can go EFF themselves charging that much freight)

a miracles rimless will cost you 1k with just a starphire front....and prob 500 to ship it that far im sure.

Everything is still a mess. Only one fatality in the move....
My purple fire fish disappeared. He was in the tank when I started tom ove everything over....But he is MIA now....he might of been in a rock that sat out for a while.....
