Bright green Mantis?

I just picked up a 3 inch mantis here. It is bright green with white stripe down the back of its body. I have had a peacock and all I can say is the body is much more slender than that. Half the staff told me it was a smasher and some told me it was spearer.

Sorry no pics as the thing is hiding still, but any guess on what it could be. It has a slender body. Seemed active at the fish store so hoping it is not a nocturnal species.

I just sold my peacock and already miss it so had to try another.

I just looked it up and yep that is it....cool. I actually always wanted a spearer. What do you feed them? Same as smashers?

I am going to set him up in a 12 gallon nano in my office.

Yes they are always out. I feed mine a mix of frozen krill, silver sides, brineshrimp, fresh shrimp from a market, and squid. Get some PC over that and maybe if your lucky it will turn yellow.

Hutton, i can maybe find you one but it would be like 40$ and you would have to come down to tucson and get it lol. What am i saying your in scottsdale your rich lol jk.

Sorry to be a bit off topic, but this mantis from the link you posted is gorgeous:
