Bringing a hammer back to life

Awkward

What do you think the chances of this hammer coming back to life are? Seems to open up a little tiny bit more everyday. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1398981291.243990.jpg

Update on the little hammer that could.

WOW nice! What sort of things did you do that you think contributed to it coming back? Would love to get a hammer shortly and am wondering if there is any extra steps I should take to care best for it. Thanks!

I think the biggest thing that helped it was when I started dosing the BRS 2 part system. As soon as my Alk, Mag, and Cal were in order, and I learned what to dose daily it really started coming back to life. I also monitored it daily and learned what kind of light and flow it wanted. At first it would only come out in the darkest areas of my tank. I literally had it placed in one of the caves for a few months. As it started growing more I began to creep it out into the light and flow. It now sits in the same lighting and flow as my other hammers and frogspawn as perfectly happy and growing faster than ever.

with euphyallia corals its imperative to trial and error positioning, then make sure u glue the suckers good! I find IME sadly I lose a perfect growth spot and can never get back in the sweet spot after a fish knocks them over or moves frag or an invert ect. I actually lost a frag of my hammer to a random tank inhabitant knocking a frag onto glass bottom and I was busy that week so I just fed tank, and monitored parems and water levels and went to work. after week was up the frag that fell was gone
