Brisbane aquarium club recent collecting pics

Just a little more South East Queensland Aquarium Society promotion as usual guys on our marine fish and invert collecting adventures in South East Q.

There have been a few trips since the last thread when I copy some of our pics on to here as we have from one to four trips per month on average.

Personally what I get from now on will be given to mates of other club members because my reef tank is 98 percent full of life now and the tubs are full of what will be put into the fish only tank below the reef tank when I get around to building that one as well.

I have prepared the glass for both tanks with very little left to cut, but have only put one together and built and matured the filtration that will sustain up to five aquariums off it easily, so that the two will never have a problem.

These are the few pics copied over to hopefully entertain your forum users and especially promote the club, aandtsociety.

A cute little vroliki pearl scale angel that was quite a challenge to collect.

No we only collect via free diving at other spots, this one would be to deep any way this time of year if you could collect on scuba.

The fish expel their swim bladder content very slow in cooler waters and the lenght of time you would need to deco them would be a half a day from that depth at a few meters up each half hour or so.

The shark pic is in roughly a hundred feet the others are from fifty feet up to twenty five feet, good free diving depths and not a lot of swim bladder issues, they only get a little bent from those depths.

If we let the latz in particular get bent they get a form of pop eye down the track from it,not good.
