Bristle worms

Is it possible to have a reef tank without them? For the longest time, I thought my reef tank was bristle worm free. Truth be told I have never seen a bristle worm until the first time I went to The Pet Store. Anyways long story short. I picked up the 8g cube from phil and added some additional live rock from my main display. next day I seen about two or three bristle worms slithering out of the rocks I added from my display. I couldn't believe my eyes :eek1: I know that bristle worms are benifitial but that doesn't mean I don't have nightmares about them.

Don't worry about them at all. If you don't over feed, you won't have a problem. I have some huge ones that live in my overflow, but you can't see them till I feed heavy.

I have only seen 1 or 2 in my display, but I have crazy ones in my overflow. I have only seen just a few in my fuge.

No way! My brother told me a story on how he tore down a tank in an old restraunt, and said he has seen one as thick as a broom stick handle! have you been stuck by them before?

omg....I have seen some in my tank that are about 4" long but they are imbedded in the live rock and don't really affect anything. I have a lot of small 1/4 inch ones in my fuge

I had one in my rock that was probably 15 inches long. Needless to say I removed it and it found a new home in the backyard.
