bristleworm. They're freaky & people hate them, but they clean up detritus and eat the waste that is left over, so in the end they're a beneficial part of the tank and perfectly harmless. Look at it as a free addition to your CUC.

Just don't grab with your bare hands =)

Bristleworms.. in my opinion good outweighs the bad. They usually get a bad rep because they are sometimes seen eating dead fish or verts, but what people don't realize is the fish/vert was dead prior to the worm feeding on it. They are scavengers not predators.

good-

-eat uneaten food
-clean detritus
-eat dead animals in your tank, they scavenge for the dead.
-can burrow deep in your sand bed and eat the food that fell deep into the bed

bad
-will sometimes sting you if you are cleaning the tank
-will also sting other animals if they touch them
-looks ugly and creepy
-sometimes will steal food from other animals

probably bristleworm.. if he was darn fast, you might have a problem though (Eunicid)... based on the pic though, seems fine.
