Does anyone out there have any experience with a "Brix" refractometer? I'm getting ready to drop the salinity in my QT to combat a couple of fish that are showing some signs of ich and the only thing I have to accurately measure the salinity is a Brix refractometer. This measures in % from 0 to 10% in .1% divisions. Does anyone have a table or equation to convert for ppt to Brix %? I found an article in reefkeeping that converted standard ppt's (30-40) to a Brix % but it didn't go down to 16 ppt (which I think is what is required to kill ich, correct me if I'm wrong). I did a quick extrapolation assuming a linear relationship which gave me a Brix of 2% for a ppt of 16, can anyone confirm this or know the correct conversion. Thanks
