Broccoli & Romaine Lettuce

Why won't my fish eat these!?!

I like my broccoli with butter and lots of salt and pepper, or with cheese melted on it. Try that.

They must see you eat it first...so dip it in the tank, pull it out and snack on a few heads...they will dig in after that. Be sure and have the g-f take pics for the rest of us.

Did you toast it on a dry skillet and then freeze it before you offered it to the fish?

I just had it frozen then threw it in there on a rock.

Hmm...they may not like it. Mine gobble it up. Romaine has no nutritional value but the brocolli does. Leave it there for a while before you give up.

i left broccoli in for a whole night and nothing.

If I soak in vitamins of some sort?

Many fish won't eat brocolli unless it's blanched.

You can water-blanch, frying-pan blanch, or microwave oven blanch. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rls=GGLF,GGLF:2006-07,GGLF:en&q=blanching+vegetables

(the microwave oven method and frying pan method retain more vitamins)

You can also freeze/thaw several times to weaken up the fibers in the broccoli.
