Broken Frogspawn...Broken Heart??

I accidentally dropped my forceps into the tank today, and they smashed into my frogspawn, breaking one of the newly split heads:

Ughhh. What should I do? The colony is glued in place so I don't really want to pull the whole thing out. A couple drops of iodine into the system?

These pics were taken a couple hours after lights off, with a nearby room light on. After the incident the coral looks disturbed, but not too bad. I imagine in the ocean this happens all of the time, maybe they just heal on their own?

It can heal on its own. Just keep an eye out for a brown jelly like substance. If you start to see brown jelly, get it out of the tank ASAP and treat it with iodine.

it should be fine. any time anything messes with most corals, they will be ticked off for a while. it's just the nature of the beast. yesterday, i took several corals out of my tank during a water change so i could scrape some anthelia off the rocks and get rid of some bubble algae. when i put everything back in the tank, everything looked like it wanted to murder me in my sleep. :)

I snapped one down the middle of a head about 6 months ago. I SG it back together. Healed up and grew fine.

You can glue that back on for sure.
