Broken Tunze 6100 shaft for impeller?

I have had my two Tunze 6100 for about over a year. Bought them used from another member. I replaced both shaft impellers within a few months. Now I have one that just broke that I replaced less than a year ago. Is this common for Tunze Streams. The only part that breaks in the white shaft that you screw the impeller down. Does anyone have the phone number to get a replacement.

I bought my 6100s new in Dec 2003, they have never broke a single part (or even wore one) and other then an occasional cleaning I've never touched them.

Usually the cause of a break is something getting in the pump, most often a snail or hermit crab. You can order the part 6080.64 on tunze.com, better yet order the new 6100.70, the shaft is reinforced with graphite fiber.

No, just a bit more solid, it is all one piece and the shaft is made with graphite fiber.

Roger,

I just orderd two 6100.700 from Tunze.com since the white plastic piece holding the propeller on broke off. How long does it take before you guys can ship these parts out?

Thanks,

Joel
