Brook an d blue spot jawfish

My wife and I love blue spot jawfish. They have great personality and are beautiful. I have had two on seperate occasions and both seem to have died from brook. Any advise on how to prevent this?

Best method is not to let it get into your tank. For that reason every new fish gets a formalin bath an then 6 to 8 weeks observation in QT.

With jawfish I would also consider installing an undergravel filter an run it in reverse.

I just got a BSJ - my first - and I want to do everything possible to keep him a long time.

Haven't read about running an undergravel filter in reverse for them...
