Brook or Ich?

I posted the other day, but I wanted to get confirmation that this is Brooklinella rather then Ich. Now both of my fish are showing these spots.

I have ordered formalyn and will treat them both as soon as I receive it. But if this is Ich, I can probable begin treating with hyposalinity sooner. Thanks.

The main brooklynella symptoms involve lots of slime and the sloughing of the skin and white spots aren't really that obvious. IMO, this is ich, or possibly velvet. I'm not great at diagnosing from one pic. If the fish is reasonably active and even eating, its probably ich. If you Google all 3, including images, you should be able to diagnosis exactly what you have. Ich & velvet are treated the same way, but velvet acts faster. The easiest way (for me) to see velvet is a head on look; there will be a velvety appearance to the fish, not just spots. Brook & velvet will have more of an immediate effect on the fish, lethargy, rapid breathing, etc----all 3 are very contagious; brook & velvet get deadly sooner. Be sure to treat all fish that have been in the same water as this fish.
