This clown has had slimy white fins/body torn fins For months now off and on.
She stopped eating 2.5 days ago. I put her in qt last nite because this is what she looked like and I have never seen this. I have had her for ten years. I gave her a fw dip for 7 min. She did fine. And is now almost 20 hrs later still swimming peaceable and has eaten a few flakes. She needs to be treated, but i do not know what i am dealing with. My fish guy said it is velvet, and if it were brook she would be dead. .? I have coppersafe on hand and want to start treament, but this looks like possibly brook and i did just bring in a new anemone for her (because of her preivious conditiions) about two weeks ago.
She was housing a green tree sinulari and i thought all this off and on slimy white crap was a reaction to hosting that. I did not qt.
Meanwhile a month ago i had a carbon dust disaster and all my fish have become "ill" long before the anemone was intriduced. Tangs are fighting onset to HLLE, but eating like pigs, and I had two lyretails stop eating, and hanging out by overflows head down tail up weird. Full color no heavybreathing for any ofthe fish. I pulled those two and they were on furan 2, one past at day 4 , the other looks great and started eating at day 4, now at day 10.
