Brooklynella help

One of my clarkii clowns in quarantine looks like it has brooklynella (breathing fast and covered in mucus). I've always heard you are supposed to give them a formaldehyde dip or bath to treat it. I bought formalin, but the directions on the back say to add 2 drops per gallon and to repeat after 48 hours. So should I follow the directions on the bottle and treat the quarantine tank or do a dip/bath instead?

Oh and the QT tank is a 5.5gallon and it only has two clowns in it. If I do the dip what concentration do I need (I've read 1cc per gallon, but just wanted to make sure), and I'd need to clean out the QT tank too right (new water and wash the flower pots)? It seems like it'd be easier to just treat the tank, but I'll do which ever is best.

Well I gave them a formalin bath. 1cc per gallon for 45 minutes. They are a little worse for wear, but still alive! I really hate giving fish dips/baths!!! I feel like I'm just going to kill them quicker. But I plan on repeating this 2 more times every other day and washing their tank out each time. If I'm doing anything wrong, please feel free to correct me!
