I recently had an outbreak of what I believe is brooklynella. It started with 2 small clowns and quickly took their lives. A day later all fish seemed infected lest one blue damsel. My question is where did the infection come from? I haven't added any fish in the last 3-4 months (the two clowns were the last additions). My tank is a relatively new set up but everything had been transferred from another well established tank, with the exception of the clowns that had been in their own 10 gallon tank for the last 3-4 months. I had transferred from a 72 gallon to a 180 approx 3 weeks ago. All corals and fish seemed to be doing fine until earlier this week. Could the Brooklynella have laid dormant that long in the 2 clowns? Here is a pic of what I believe to be Brooklynella infection.
