A little info on tank, it is a 180 has been running in the same spot for 3 years however tank is 8-9 years old. Just replaced bulbs jan 13, using GFO, stock list is in signature. My nitrates are 0, I have been vinegar dosing for roughly 4 months. I was up to 80 ml and when my nitrates tested 0 I cut that dose in half.

Roughly a month ago I started getting a GHA outbreak along with the brown spots that you see in the picture. This lead me to change everything I am still getting GHA and now the brown spots came back again just not as bad as when I started dosing vinegar. These browns spot just started reacquaint a few days ago, after I trimmed back 2 quarts of cheato.

I got rid of mine by stirring my sand bed, reducing my lighting (lights out) when I'm a work 12 hrs consistantly for like 3 in a row, GFO, Carbon, blowing jets of water into my rocks to reduce detritus build up, scrubbed my LR for a while due to a bad algae breakout. Now with the LR mature, it's been nice. No brown! Been skimming really wet too. Good luck. My tank has been running since about last May. Pretty bare, only a few corals, 5 fish, a shrimp, but I enjoy it.

I was there 9 years ago when I first started bare tank but I loved it, it took me 9 years to have what I have and won't change it. I will need to brush of the rocks more then I do know, I remember and then weekends come and I foret.
