Brown/black spots

Got a pair of picasso clowns and one of them has a few brown/black blotches on him. Should I be worried. A friend said that it was probably just trying to host in something that didnt agree with him.

That is very normal...they are gaining their black. I've noticed that they don't change to the full onyx black coloration like normal clowns. Yes, it starts from the bars, but they get really blotchy when they start their coloration. Do you see the part of the body right above the pectoral fins gaining some black splotches? This is where mine started getting most of its color. As long as it is nore black than red, should not be any problem with the fish, just growing up. Not a hosting problem, should not be disease.

funny this is weird i bought a pair of ORA true percs from atlantis in richmond VA for my girlfriends sisters nano tank and they developed the splotches as well
but i have yet to see my rodonyx pair get any splotches i thought it was enviromental
i dont think it is any kind of sickness

Mine are supposed to be ORA also. Will post pics. Dosent seem to be affecting their feeding. Ive had them about a month now and they still like hanging near the top of the tank nowhere near rock, coral or sand. Just wondering.

Just to give you some reassurance, here is a month or two later:

Nope, just the way picassos color up. Perfectly normal. By the way, that spot that looks red by the pectoral fin is not red at all, just the way it came out in the picture. It is a black color just like the rest of it.
