I come home ceck my tank and my purple tip frogspawn is covered in brown jelly. One of the five heads is completely gone. I have had this peice for nine months and it has been fine.I aslo have some anchor and torch they are fine so far. One of the power heads has been turned away from this coral for about 2 weeks other than that no change. Help me save my coral! Any treatment? Anything to prevent in future.:(

iodine dips, if that doesn't work, kiss it goodbye. its probably almost dead already, if any heads don't have it yet then frag them off of the infected colony. it was probably damaged somehow or your water parameters have seriously deteriorated to the point that the corals health is beginning to suffer from it.

Its too late its gone. The water chemestry is fine,so it must of been damaged somehow. What about the other euphillia in the tank. Besides monitoring it over the next several day. Should I be worried about those guys as well?Does this stuff travel to other corals?

Well the disease is generally an opportunistic one so as long as they aren't damaged you shouldn't have a problem. In my euphyllia dominated tank when ever I've had a coral succumb to brown jelly I didn't really remove it till it was definitely dead with no ill effects on the other corals. I would definitely make sure water parameters are high and run some carbon though.
