Reef Monster
I am not sure what is happening here. Check out this torch coral head. It was two a few weeks ago. Over the course of this week it has receded. If you look closely, u can see the outline of three bulges that are the heads. FWIW, I see it on the skeleton.
This torch coral has split before. When it did, I noticed a similar experience. There was a small mucus around the torch for a few days when it was retracted and then wallah - a new head. Only problem is I see some brown slime near one of the new heads. Have never had brown jelly. In fact, if it is brown jelly I am in a pickle - I have a load of Euphyllia (6 hammer / 1 torch) in my tank so this is either a real dangerous thing or just a freak thing.
Ideas?
