Brown Palys, should I get rid of them?

I bought some cheap starter frags from my LFS last week just to get my tank started. I grabbed a brain coral, some GSP (going on a small island!) and some orange/blue zoas. But I also picked up these tall standing Palys that are mostly brown and have a green inner circle. From what I've read, it seems like these are some of the more dangerous ones if you aggravate them and frankly they don't look nice enough to even consider that risk. Am I misreading about them? Should I ditch them? It was a buy 3 get 1 free so I'm not really out anything...

I had some of those as my very first corals we are bulletproof and will spread they are definitely toxic if you are to crush them and you never want to take them out of water and aggravate them or try to frag them above water as they can squirt you in the eye and you will be going to the ER :)

Ditch. Like Zatoichi said, dangerous. And IMO they are super hideous and grow like a weed. They have a bunch of it at my LFS in the tank in they routinely stock their lionfish. Hopefully they gave you that frag cheaply!

It was free as part of a buy 3 get 1... I could have picked something different though šŸ¤£.. But no big loss.

Threw them in a zip lock, in a plastic bag, into the cold winter garbage can... Thanks for the input

Look like green implosions.

I disagree about their toxicity. It's their shallow water cousins that are pale green/olive and rather translucent that contain enough palytoxin to kill a herd of elephants.

The problem with green implosions though it they grow like weeds and spring up around your tank. Large angels will eat them, but I strongly advize not adding them to a community tank.
