Hi, if anyone can help that would be wonderful...My tank is as follows:
BioCube 8 containing: Live rock, 1 Clown Fish, 1 Bubble Anenome, 1 Blue Spot Goby, 1 CLeaner Shrimp, 1 Emerald Crab.
About 1 week ago, my Clown Fish developed a small brown round spot around his jaw area. I have researched and researched and visited multiple saltwater stores to find an answer. The only one that I have received at that time was that maybe there was not enough oxygen so I added a small air stone.
Yesterday the brown spot turned to a slightly bigger flaky white raised spot. I went again to another fish store and was told again they had no idea maybe some kind of fungis and to try using "Pimafix". Was also told not to bother putting the clown into a QT tank because I only had 1 other fish. (I started a QT tank today just in case but left the clown in the BioCube).
I came home immediately and used the Pimafix and everything in my aquarium went crazy. The cleaner shrimp started darting back and forth, the anenome closed up, the goby was darting and the clown went straight to the bottom and the crab was acting weird too. I got scared and put the carbon filter back in.
Please advise if this reaction is normal and if I am treating whatever this is correctly.
