i don't have a test kit. haven't done anything out of the ordinary. i feed my dendros every other day. is this a bad thing? should i remove them from my tank?
I can't tell you good or bad, I am not seeing it, just voicing an opinion.
Cyanobacteria, "if" it is that, occurs naturally. It is normally brought on by your water quality changing in a poor way, i.e. high phosphates or possibly overfeeding. It can be a brown to a red slime and it can actually grow over your zoas and they will close. You can do a water change and use your siphon to suck up the strands. If its cyano you should see it elsewhere; look on your rocks, sandbed etc.
Awhile ago I had something simular. It was from my tank temps being too high. I now have a chiller. What else is in the tank? Are they looking ok? I would do a water change to be safe, atleast 10%.
Cyano is red.
i have several other zoo's, dendros, leathers, hammerhead and a sun coral in th tank. everything looks fine. i just did a water change. we'll see how things go in the morning.
