Browned or Pale

Got a new frag and it has lost some color. I know they are different angles but it gives the general idea. My question is has it browned from high nutrients or paled from low.

Sometimes you just get a color shift, and its not from anything negative, rather you're lighting.

I had a colony that changed colors once I switched to LED … then it changed again and morphed into a teal color when I added green and UV LED's to my mix. I then switched to T5's and it turned a nice deep blue color

It looks healthy. I'm assuming you are running LED's based on the color in the photo's. I always found that purple morphed a little under my LED's. Just watch it and make sure it's healthy. You still have good polyp extension … the coral may just be adapting to its new home. The first few months is where they settle in.

Most of my SPS stay in the sand bed for almost 2 months after I add them to the tank … just to see how they react to the lighting change.

What does your range in LEDs look like? Do you have a lot of 410-460nms? Also is the light reaching the corals and at what par?
