First off I'm new at this so forgive me.
Tank background:
180g with a 55g sump refigium. cheato/caluprea
3x250w 10k MH 9hrs 4x96w PC actinic 13hrs
top off with kalk trace elements (about 1 ml per 5 gal of top off)

Ok, I got 9 in last Tuesday 3-6. A couple of them are starting to turn brown. I have 3x250w 10k . There in pretty high flow on the sand bed for now for light aclimation. I was going to start moving them up this coming week.

What are the major contributors in acro DIS-coloration?

trAtes are a bit high at 20 but working on getting them down. everything else is 0 Alk 11 Calcium 440 ph 8.4 .025 salinity

thoughts?

I feed a mush that has phyto and zoo in it as well as clam juice. Its got mysis/oyster and shrimp for the vish and the whole lot is soaked in garlic/viatimins.

skimmer?

what do you have for flow?

it is not uncommon for sps to brown out after shipment and take a few weeks+ to color back up

Skimmer is an ASM G-3 a lil on the wet side. Flow is approx 800gph thru main with an additional 800 from powerheads. Closed loop WAS to be installed this weekend boosting another 2500gph but got a bad pump and have to return. Hopefully by next weekend that should be going.

I wasn't sure if they brown After shimpent or how quickly it happens or what-not. so they may still brown even tho everything is ok? What is the best way to get color back?

i'm not sure you can have a 1600 gph in a 180 and have high flow anywhere but directly in front of the ouputs.

you need to up your flow dramatically, and while 2500 gph is a decent increase you need much more than that.

Pardon my ignorance but how long has your tank been running? It has that sterile look to it. I would say you have to have a real well established tank to try SPS....But I am just a rookie with SPS.
