BRS acquisition of MD

BRS acquisition of MD

I think you hit it on the nose, they are going to have a lot more leverage with the companies building and designing reef products now as well. BRS has been trying for years to get an exclusive contract with coralvue and this may give them enough leverage for just that.

I think it may help drive down cost of some things. But at the same time it will make the smaller companies that make better quality products dwindle"¦

I like BRS as do most people but I also have found items on MD in the past that were cheaper/ more what I was looking for/ etc. so kinda bummed. But I think something like this was inevitable and apparently MD was looking to sell so if BRS didn't buy them who is to say another company wouldn’t have. FWIW they just released a video on YT to talk about it and their plans going forward.

Premium Aquatics for over 20 years. If ordered before 1pm, I usually get it the next day and their customer service is second to none. MD always took a few days to get here on the rare chance I've had to get something that PA didn't have in stock.

I always shop at premium unless they do not have what I am after.

I think the only thing I order from MD is the reagents for my Hanna phosphate test. They were the cheapest

Wow, good for BRS. Like most of us, I have spent thousands of dollars online buying equipment and supplies. I've never had any concerns buying from MD yet 90% of my purchases have been from BRS. The one thing I will say is MD has more inexpensive accessories so it'll be interesting to see if BRS will sell those SKU's too.

BRS screwed up my order. Used to be able to talk to someone in customer service. Now I have to e-mail to get a response.
