Brs and spectrapure media reactor mod

For those of you who have issues with these reactors know they plug often severely losing flow. I have the spectrapure dual and assume the brs is the same. I cut off all screens as they are too fine, and replaced with vinyl window screen. Much better flow without clogging. I used super glue gel to hold them in place.

I have the spectrapure also, and know exactly what your talking about.

I replaced the GFO canister with a BRS insert because I could never get GFO to tumble in the spectrapure one. Works just fine now surprisingly! I did remove the screen on the carbon side for lack of flow through it, and considering its a down flow I never thought to replace it.
