BRS recommends maxijet 400s for their reactors. The carbon reactor does fine with the longer contact time, but the GFO does not tumble, even when the ball valve is completely open. Should I go with the MJ 900 or 1200?
IMO as long as water is passing through the reactor that is enough. You dont want GFO or carbon tumbling. Doing so causes it to break down and get fines in your system. The lower the flow the better IMO.
I understand they suggest the 1200 for both their GFO and carbon reactors. I've been looking at them. Luckily, I have a maxijet 1200 sitting around right now.
