Bryopsis help!

So I noticed that in my sump I have bryopsis taking over the walls of my refugium. It's in some other places but mainly just the glass. It is not in my display tank (at least not noticeable). So I have a couple questions.
1) should I be concerned if it's isolated in the refugium?
2) should I clean it off the walls? I worry if I do this it will somehow spread to the display.

Thanks in advance

Edit: by the way, this is a new upgraded system from a year old 50 gallon. The current system has been up about 4 weeks.

Do you have other macro algaes in your refugium? I wouldn't remove it from the walls without turning off all the pumps to make sure little pieces that break off don't get swept up into your display tank. Getting it off the glass is much easier than off rocks. I personally vote carefully removing it because it will eventually spreading you DT if you do nothing.
