Bryopsis & Turf Algae Options

Got some bryopsis and an appearance of what I believe is turf algae. Seen many of the threads regarding the use of Fluconazole, Vibrant, and some other products. Increased WC's, manual removal, and a small (undersized) chaeto reactor just seem to be keeping at bay for now.

Similar to cyano, I'm not one to jump right into the chemical products. What other options are out there?

All parameters are within the recommended ranges. Of course NO3 and PO4 are showing 0 and <.25 on the test kits, but that is meaningless. Dosing a carbon mix similar to the DIY NoPox (Vodka, Vinegar, & RODI) at 16 ml daily spread out over four doses. Tried reducing and increasing over the past month to six weeks with no success.

I have two tanks plumbed to the same sump. The anemone exile tank has lots of algae. The other has a Kole's tang and a yellow tang and zero algae.

I would get a couple tuxedo or royal urchins. Along with manual removal I have fixed some pretty severe algae problems in other aquarists systems

Had a feeling another live animal was going to be suggested. Really didn't wanna go that route either....

Was debating between that and Vibrant. What source is best to get the F from lately?

https://www.fishlifeantibiotics.com/products/fluconazole-200mg

gets to me the very next day I order, but he is only 2 hours away.

Fluc works better for bryopsis then Vib, which is supposed to work better for bubble algae

Just dosed 20 capsules in 260g twv last night for gold hair algae, in 25 years I have never seen this stuff.

Last time I used 10 capsules and it cleaned up all hair algae and bryopsis.

No negative aspects of treatment at all, my turf scrubber remains online as well, didn't even shut my skimmer off.

^ Thx, gonna order and do the 14 day treatment. Looking forward to no algae again. Been nearly a year with nothing after gha.

Edit: Sold out.

I'll try the net for other sources.

100g total system, how much F should I use for a light to moderate amount of bryopsis?

Vibrant worked for me. Actually, Epsom salt worked initially, then later I used vibrant for other algae and it killed a small amount I had left in the sump.

Vibrant arrived yesterday and I dosed the first 10ml. Gonna give this a few weeks then re evaluate. Probably order the F just to have it on hand as well.
