bta and clownfish

Was trying to cetch the clowns but the hide in rock work don't want to tare tank apart to cetch them to put all in one container try the pic idea it just scared clowns they hid till I took it down

Let the clowns enter the anemone on their own, dont force them. Im not sure what clowns you have but bta anemones are only natural host anemones for maroons afaik so other types of clowns may not go in to it. Bta's do have a good record of other clowns useing them though but thats up to the clowns not you.

When the clowns are ready, if they ever are, they'll go to the BTA. Just like shifty said, they are not the natural host so it'll be hit or miss to get your clown to be hosted. I have a magnifica and I'm still waiting for it to host my two Ocellaris'.

Good luck!

After eight months my clown went into my torch and skipped the three rose bubble tips. Whatever makes them happy I guess. LoL.

Damn that's crazy lol. My two perculas ignored my handoni carpet but when I ditched the carpet for my mag they went in within minutes. Interesting that yours haven't since it's there natural host.

Tell me about it!!

I just posted a vid of my h. magnifica and the two clowns that just ignore it!

I have now 3 BTAs since my large one split.

My oscii has never even gone to their side of the tank.

:headwally:

YAY progress! Last night before lights out my clowns were right up to and checking out one of my three nems. Might be hope yet.

Adam some of the rose bta's look purple ish, but there is no purple bta with exception to a few of the "designer" bta's

I have an Rbta in my tank and it took my clown less than a week to host it. It's in a corner so it doesn't bother my other corals, and is happy enough that it hasn't moved more than a couple of inches from where I initially set it. I just let it be and the hosting happened on its own... Much faster than I actually expected.

(edit - wanted to point out that I keep Ocellaris. I figured that would be a helpful tidbit of information.)

My clowns decided to host my torch, frogspawn, and zoas. Took forever before they decided to give the BTA a try. Now they jump between the 4.
