BTA/any anemones under LED only?

I'm curious if anyone has an anemone under LED's? Anyone think its possible to keep something like a BTA (i ve read they're one of the easiest to keep) with LED only?

LEDs don't have the full color spectrum even though it may look like it. LEDs' spectrum is more blue. It might not be the best for an anemone unless you supplemented some other light like a T5 or a MH. The LED spectrum has very little red, so if you got a RBTA the colors wouldn't stand out too much.

I have 2 nem's in my 90-gal under the Evolution LED's with no problems. One is a rose bubble tip and the other is just a regular green bubble tip. My rose still has great colors and looks awesome when just the blue LED's are on.

Id love the colors to look as nice as possible, but I guess the main issue I had was if LED's are enough to sustain an anemones life, and be healthy. I've heard the Evolution leds are great. I have ecoxotics, and they seem to produce bright light, and hopefully a BTA will be happy with the light it emits.

I don't think you'll have any issues. I know several people with full LED setups and all have a nem with no problem. Mine are a little on the bluer spectrum and I agree, the colors of the rose won't fully show. But, the colors are still great and I'm not unhappy with them at all...

If you really want an anemone and aren't too attached to the blueness of your LEDs, then I would supplement MH or T5 to get a better spectrum for the nem.

LEDs can work great for anemones. My tank is all-LED and my gigantea loves it, came back from being bleached in the store. It has only ever been under LEDs in my tank. Documented here:
