BTA color/growth?feeding

I bought a spawn of what was alleged to be a RBTA from the lfs a few months ago. It was very cheap as it was only a spawn, but it seems to be growing very slowly.

First I want to know what it is, but cant post a pic. The mouth, base area is more green while the tips are clearly red. It has minor bubbles, but they don't ever seem to fully inflate.

The nem has attached itself to a small rock and does not move. It has a nice little crevice it stuck its foot back in and has stayed since I placed him there months ago. He eats regularly, as I feed him 1 to 2 times per week. Its fed a mixture of whatever frozen food the fish are getting mostly rods food and brine shrimp. The nem always is spot fed a good size chunk. None of the fish ever take the food from the nem.

In a mixed reef

Questions

I feel like i just keep feeding it, and its not growing, why?
The bubble tips never seem to fully inflate?
Is there anything I can do to make him happier/speed up growth?

Any way to make my clown host him. because he's not?

Try some silversides. Brine Shrimp hardly has any nutrition to them. My BTA split 3 times and would stretch out to about 12in wide. It hardly ever bubbled up except after I fed him.

As for the BTA hosting the clown, how big is the nem? I wouldn't want to see a BTA die because the clown "loved" it to death. If the clown is bigger than the nem it's a good thing the BTA isn't hosting him/her. Otherwise the BTA will stress out and eventually die if precautions aren't taken.

For speeding up growth....they grow at their own speed. Let them get ample light and like Kabuto said, Brine shrimp don't really have much nutrional value. Silversides are good, but some will tell you they have had issues with that food. I personally have not, but I switched from silversides awhile ago when I started doing Rod's Food. I let my Nem's get the food "naturally" by letting them snatch it from the water column.
