BTA Dead or Alive..

Ok this is the deal, about 9 days ago i recieved a BTA. My girlfriend kept wanting to put one in there and i told her if she wanted one she could buy it. Big mistake lol. Anyways, we put it in the tank, and it seemed to be doing fine. This morning i woke, and it was completly deflated. Messed arround on the computer for a little bit and it looked completly normal. This evening, with in 30min it looked back to its dead inflated self, and now looks like it is turning it self inside out. I know when these things crash, the tanks crash quick. Should i take it out?

Thanks,
Nate Skains

Tank: 75 Gal which is about 7 months old.

that's not a bta, so my advice is suspect at best.

1) if it doesnt stink, it isnt dead :)
(or at least not dead enough!)
2) this expanding/collapsing is its way of rebalancing the water inside to match what's outside...some should be expected.

keep water stability high, and try to minimize poking it with a stick.

good luck and wait for better info!

It looks like a dying condy anemone, I would take it out. Looking at your pic you're tanks is not ready for any anemones. What kind of lights do you have?

I dont have a lot of light, running 2 10k VHO Florecents, when she got it, i didnt think i had enough light, so i asked my buddy if he would take care of it in his tank and mabey transplant it later on when i believed my tank was more stable, He assured me i had plenty so we kept it in my tank. Kind of annoyed she got it, and hope it doesnt crash the tank. Anyways thanks for the advice.
