i keep looking at it, there were amphipods near the wound last time i checked. it looked like he was inflating to move during the last 3 pics, but now he looks settled.
the swollen green ball has deflated but its stell green, with a prety big lesion to one side of it, and there is brown on the other side of the lesion, that may be the foot tho
this nem has been in my tank since august of last year, no rocks could have pinched it. i think it was my damsel nipping at it from underneath. its lil home is in the rock where this nem is. the damsel also bit my paly frag that i put on the same rock so thats why im coming to this.
That's really weird. Damsels have been known to strip the flesh of a lps or sps in order to mate and lay eggs on the skeleton. Perhaps it's trying to do the same? Has it changed behavior/appearance lately?
the damsel? i havent noticed any difference. the nem is walking around and it has never moved since the day i got it. its actually somewhat inflated right now, i would never recommend anyone chop a unhealthy nem. but if it continues to deteriorate ill prolly chop it in half in hopes to save the good side.
Yes, i was referring to the damsel, sorry for the confusion. I was thinking it may be trying to spawn. They typically take on a different coloration and/or get more aggressive when spawning.
there are 2 of them in there, both on mean to eachother. each to their side of the 75 gallon. they change colors all the time with mood, but nothing permanent that i can tell. they both defend their dens tho
