BTA Feeding???

Just a couple of Questions...New BTA in the Tank for 3 days now..Moved into a big cave in the Middle of my reef on the First night..First question is How much Light is TOO Much??? Ive got 2 175MH's and 4 110vho's on a 90gal thats 24"tall..Im assuming that the bta is still Acclimating himself in the Cave but was wondring if my lights will be too Bright??..Second question is on feeding..I left him alone for the first day...Second day offered a chunk of Silverside wich it gobbled immediatley..Yesterday offered about 1/3 cube of thawed mysis wich it gobbled Immediatley..Mouth has remained shut nice and tight...Just wondering if i should offer any more food as i do not know when or if it was previousley fed before i got it???....Ive heard that if they aren't hungry they wont eat...Is this true??? This anem ACTs Hungry..The two times that i offered it food it Literally reached out and Grabbed it from my tongs...Just wondering if its possible to "Overfeed"???....Thanks..

sorry im no help on the lighting question. but as far as feeding i would offer myasis one day then skip a day then offer silverside then skip a day and so on at least for the 1st week to 1 1/2 weeks. then i would slow down to 1mysis and 1silverside feeding a week (like feed mysis then wait 3 days and feed silverside) try that and see if he beefs up.

you should be alright with your lighting.

anemones are usually ready for more food right after they "poo", overfeeding can happen feeding to frequently or tomuch at once can lead to undigested food rotting in the nems gut(bacteria heaven)

Lighting is not too much.

Try aqua yums clams. Mine love that stuff.

yes also give aqua yums squid a try too and ocean nutritions frozen prime reef and brine shrimp plus they dont have gel binders in them making them nem safe.

Yeah, I think you can over feed them. If they're full, they may still take the food but spit it out the next day not fully digested and then you just have something else polluting the tank.

Some people don't feed them at all. People with lower light, (like myself for a while) could probably feed more regularly. I try to feed mine a good sized piece of silverside once a week. After having it for 14 months, a light change, and a recent split, I'm pretty satisfied that it's getting enough energy. Sometimes my maroon clowns will bring pieces of frozen squid or shrimp back and feed the BTAs in between, or they catch it out of the water themselves. IMO, I wouldn't feed it more than twice a week. I doubt it needs that much, especially with the good light.
