BTA help

I have been looking at the anemones at my LFS
and they sure are tempting. Before buying one however, I need some help. Can some one guide me to some treads or provide me with some information on these animals?
Would i be able to keep one in a 25 gallon with 7 watts of light per gallon? Also, what other things should i consider if i am to buy one?
Help me do my reasearch please!

Make sure it isn't bleached. A white BTA is a bleached and sick BTA. Ask to see it eat before you purchase, if it can't hold on to food, I would not purchase it. It's tenticles should be sticky.

With 7 watts per gallon on a 25, do you have any heat issues? You also need to make sure your powerheads are covered. A BTA will move around and may eventually get sucked up and shredded.

Also, a BTA may outgrow a 25g, or it may split, and you can trade one. How long has the tank been up and running? You need to make sure all your params are good, and don't swing one way too much.

Here is a good site to check out.

During the summer i did have heat issues, but for the most part, the temperature is pretty stable. The tank has been running since may, so its been about 7 months.

If you want an anemone, your tank should be ready, as far as seasoning goes. I would go for an easy to care for nem, something like a Bubble Tip would probably be the easiest to care for.

Karen's site and Carlosreef are both good starting points. There are several good publications on the subject. You can google or use the search on RC for more helpful info. Good luck!!
