BTA is gone

Hey guys my BTA is missing in action. i moved all the rock i can not find any traces of him. so im trying to figure out who ate him, i have a urchin, 2 clowns, and a pigmy angel, and a emerald crab.

my water prameters is good. ohh this is a 29 gallon biocube HQI i dont know what happend to him, i hope some one has some ideas to his demise.

Anemones can shrink down to the size of a coin and hide in a hole or crevice you never would have thought they could fit in. While it's possible the nem is gone, if you haven't found any remains (tentacles stuck to a powerhead, in your sump, etc), then my money is on the nem still being in your tank. Even suttle changes to a tank (flow lighting, rock rearrangement) can cause a nem to walk and/or become PO'd. Wouldn't give up hope just yet .

I had a RBTA actually climb over the weir and go down the drain into the sump. I have a huge LR wall and assumed it moved into the LR. I didn't see it for well over a week and was getting concerned. I was doing some regular maintenance, vacuming out the sump and I saw a big brown lump go thru the hose into the 5 gallon bucket... it was the RBTA. don't give up hope. It's extermely unlikely any of your other critters had anything to do with it. Good luck.

A friend lost his. It was gone for about 2-3 months. He decided one day to change the filter in his fluval canister filter. When he opened it the nem was in there the size of a quarter. It was still alive so he put it back in his display. It's the size of a softball now.

I've got one in a 12 gallon nano. When he goes AWOL, it's time to change the light bulb.

Fortunately in a nano he can't get far.

I think anemone's seem to have a mind of their own. Pretty strange critters, but beautiful! I myself just have a maxi mini for now, which isa total sand/rock lounger guy. Hasn't moved since I put him there. Pretty kicked back guy. HaHa!

I've had a couple (bta and rbta) decide to migrate and hide. Like was said earlier...if you haven't found pieces, it's probably still there somewhere
