BTA on it's side

got a BTA three days ago from LFS and it has attached to a rock with a very small part of the foot. I'm worried becasue it is positioned vertically with small part of the foot attached and it opens and closes on itself with the waves. It has not moved since the first day and the tenticales look a little week. Should i be concerned? FYI my lights are 250 watt MH and 65 watt antics and are on 8hrs a day. Thanks guys.

Also i have put pods to target feed but has not appeared to eat any?

what kind of lighting was it under previously? feeding it isnt priority til its established and looking healthy. feeding may just stress it more. if its partially attached just leave it and it will either attach fully or move. are the waves blasting it? if so maybe turn it off or lessen it if you can until its frimly attached

Post a photo.
Three days is plenty of time for it to attach. Did you buy it attached to a rock or did the y remove it. Sometimes it can get a tear when it is hastily remove it. That would be my first guess but maybe I am wrong. A picture is worth a thousand words here.

I'll just let it sit for a few days and see what happens...it was under a MH at the LFS if anything my lights are brighter. the tentacles look kinda weak but the water checked out just fine. I'll repost if problems occur thanks for input

I'll have to resize it tonight but it is in the center of picture with the foot vertical and tenticals facing right.

I use photobucket, you can upload there and paste the IMG code but you must click (post reply) not quick reply for you photo to appear.

I was reading this thread and just notices that something weird has been hapening to my reply, there is no image code box. I have posted imgs. before, but I just noticed that there was no box to click on to post images. Any ideas on what could be happening?

you could talk to Lmecher or ask RC staff on IT stuff.....the good news is my BTA haas started to trun over and the tenticals look good so i think it just need to adjust to the light.

That is great news, sometimes it could take a couple weeks for an anemone to adjust, your lights are pretty intense.

What site are you using to download your photos, I have tried RC, I can't resize my images properly so I use photobucket. On photobucket once photo is downloaded you copy the IMG code of the photo located below photo in your album. To post photo on RC, you click "post reply" then just paste the IMG code in your reply, there is no box to click to post a photo. I hope this helped, it took me a while to figure it out too.
