bta open at night closed during the day

Hi, about a month ago I bought a gbta thats about six or seven inches across. It moved around for the first two weeks, but after that settled nicely on a rock near my sandbed directly underneath an all actinic blue par38 spotlight. Its mouth had always been open slightly, but otherwise it seemed healthy. It attached quickly to rocks and had good feeding responses and colors. It also hosts my pair of ocellaris clowns, one being a mocha and the other a black and white. The new seemed big enough to host both of them, especially since I heard ocellaris aren't very rough with their nems.
But my problem is that the nem will only open at night and for the last two hours or so of my light cycle. Is it still adjusting to the light and tank after a month? Should i try to remove the clowns? Or just let it go and let it take care of itself?

Tank is a 55g that is about a year old, led lighting and about fifty times turnover for flow. SPS and LPS corals are thriving. Sg is 1.026, ph is 8.1, temp is 82, ammonia nitrates and nitrites are zero, as are phosphates.

im little curious about this too, my new bta i just bought seems to be doing this same thing almost.

my GBTA has been in my tank for 3 weeks now and still only "pops" out from under the LR it attached to (since day one) from time to time...
the natural acclimation process is unique to each nem...my first BTA took almost 2 months to really fully acclimate and color up...while my mini RBTA seemed to adjust almost immediately...(go figure)
I'd say ur nem is most likely acclimating, and do not touch it... but after a month now I'd be sure to feed it every few days with small food like mysis just to be sure it's eating

any chance for a pic or two?

heres a few i managed to grab before the lights went out when it just opened.

Ill try lowering the temp, hopefully thatll help. And its foot is attached to the rock it just sort of has the tentacles leaning out into the sand.

well heres an update:
I fed it a bit of mysis last night while it was opened, and today when I checked on it (about twenty minutes after the lights came on) it was wide open and almost fully inflated. The mouth also looked a lot tighter than it did before. Maybe it just needed to eat and thats why it was so inflated at night.
